The garden has multiple meanings to me.
It is my escape. When I paint for hour after hour, the world goes quiet and I am just there, discovering each floral petal. My favorite time to paint is 4 a.m. The house is silent. My world is silent. The daylight is just beginning to break and the canvas is waiting. That is when the garden speaks loudest.

I look at each blossom individually, closely. The shape of one petal leaning into the next. How they touch, how they curl, how they hold each other up. That interaction — that is where the magic is. If you get close enough, you can feel it.
The colors are never the same. Never. From 4 a.m. to noon to dusk to moonlight, the same peony changes completely. The sun moves, the moon moves, and the garden reinvents itself. That is why I paint them so large — so you have to come close and see that change happening.
And the nurturing — tending a garden reminds me of raising my three grown children. You water, you wait, you worry, you watch. You can't rush a peony. You can't rush a child. You just love them and give them light and let them become what they were meant to be.
The first photo you see is only the underpainting of Peony Parade — orange ground, a few lines, one tiny pink petal started at 4 a.m. The finished piece you see next to me is months of those early mornings, of watching, of nurturing.
This collection is my garden. It is my escape, my early morning prayer, my study of light, and my mother’s heart, all at once. — Peony Parade, 2026 Acrylic • 48 x 48” $3,800.00

The Duet — 30 x 48 — is a celebration of partnership in full bloom. Two luminous dahlias rise together in a vertical harmony, their layered petals rendered in soft washes of blush, lilac, pale butter yellow, and pearl white against a quiet, misty blue-gray ground. The upper bloom opens with cool, airy grace while the lower answers in warmer pinks, creating a gentle call-and-response that gives the painting its title. Delicate scabiosa sprigs and fresh green foliage frame the pair, and a small, half-open bud at the edge hints at what's still to come. Painted with loose, expressive realism and an emphasis on light, the piece feels both grand in scale and intimate in mood — a duet of color, form, and companionship. — The Duet, 2026 Acrylic on Canvas • 30 x 48 $3,200.00

Morning Hush — 36 x 36 acrylic — captures that quiet, suspended moment just after dawn when the world is still soft and full of promise.
A single, magnificent dahlia fills the square canvas edge to edge, its intricate layers of petals unfurling from a tightly curled, rosy center to pale, sun-kissed tips of blush, cream, lavender, and icy blue. Rendered with detailed, luminous brushwork, each petal catches early light, while the rich, saturated periwinkle background and crisp green leaves make the bloom glow with gentle intensity. The close cropping creates an immersive, almost meditative presence — not just a flower, but a portrait of stillness, breath, and the quiet joy of a new morning. — Morning Hush , 2026 Acrylic on canvas • 37 x 37 framed $2,400.00

A large, luminous light-pink dahlia dominates the canvas, its petals softly curled at the tips and shaded with hints of lavender and warm peach, catching the light against a warm, golden-taupe ground. Above, a deep magenta bloom leans in, and below, a tight green bud promises the next turn. Rich green leaves and russet stems weave through the composition, creating a lyrical, vertical rhythm that feels like the first, elegant sweep across a dance floor. — Garden Waltz I, 2026 GiClee print on stretched wrapped canvas: Original SOLD in July 2926 • 30 x 48 $850.00

Here the same pale pink dahlia is rendered even more intimately, its layered petals open and flowing, anchored by a burgundy bud to the right and the dramatic back of a deep wine-colored dahlia above. The palette is slightly deeper and more theatrical, with warm browns and soft creams behind the blooms, emphasizing contrast and continuity. Together, I and II read as partners — light and shadow, front and back, opening and closing — a waltz of growth, bloom, and return. — Garden Waltz II, 2026 GiClee print on stretched wrapped canvas: Original SOLD in July 2926 • 30 x 48 $850.00

Three full, ruffled peonies crowd the canvas in a joyful, overlapping cluster, their petals layered in shades of rose, blush, and soft lavender, each catching the light differently. The foreground bloom is painted with exquisite detail — a swirling spiral of luminous petals — while the two companions behind it soften slightly, creating depth and a sense of conversation between them. Set against a muted sage and deep shadowed ground, with a single sprig of eucalyptus arching in from above, the composition feels both abundant and tender. It’s a portrait of friendship: close, warm, and beautifully in bloom together. — Party of Three, 2026 Acrylic on Canvas • 20 x 24 $750.00

Vine Chorus — 20 x 16 — is a joyful, sunlit tangle of Black-Eyed Susan vine (Thunbergia alata) singing in full color.
Seven trumpet-shaped blooms in peach, golden yellow, and cotton-candy pink pop against a dense canopy of glossy green leaves, each flower marked by its signature inky-black eye. The composition winds diagonally, with curling tendrils, heart-shaped buds, and dappled light dancing across the foliage, giving the piece a lively, almost musical rhythm. The deep, near-black background makes the bright blossoms and fresh greens glow with tropical intensity. Small in scale but big in energy, it captures the carefree chorus of a garden in midsummer — cheerful, abundant, and impossible not to smile at. — Vine Chorus, 2026 Acrylic on Canvas • 20 x 16 $600.00

Gertrude — 12 x 12 — is a quiet, intimate portrait of a single, perfect rose.
Filling the small square canvas edge to edge, her soft, spiraled petals unfurl in delicate layers of blush pink, lavender, and creamy white, catching light at every gentle fold. Set against deep, velvety green foliage that fades to shadow, the pale bloom glows with a tender, timeless elegance. Named Gertrude, she feels both classic and personal — not just a rose, but a beloved presence, captured in that fleeting, full-hearted moment of bloom. — Gertrude, 2026 Acrylic on canvas • 12 x 12 $300.00

Inspired by that otherworldly phenomenon when Saharan dust drifts across the Atlantic, softening the light over the Gulf, the painting is built in whisper-thin washes of pale aqua, seafoam, blush pink, and pearl white, layered to create immense depth and stillness. The lower third grounds the ethereal atmosphere — textured, impasto sands flecked with copper, gold, and bronze leaf, catching the light like sun on wet beach. There is a quiet drama here: wind-scratched lines, faint lilac cloud bands, and a sense of vast, breathable space. At 36 x 36 in its light wood float frame, it feels both monumental and meditative — a memory of light, dust, and distant shores. — Saharan Dust, 2026 Acrylic, cardboard, paper on Canvas • 37 x 37 (Poplar wood fame) $1,400.00

The canvas is dominated by a vast, diffused sky melting from soft lilac-blue at the top into warm washes of peach, shell-pink, and cotton-candy rose — the fleeting light of sunset over the Gulf. Below, a low, heavily textured horizon line in sage, silver, and pearl anchors the composition, its thick, combed impasto catching real shadows and suggesting distant dunes or a quiet tidal flat. The lower expanse is a mirror of water and light, rendered in misty layers of pale aqua and foggy blue, with just a few intimate touches of pink reflected back. Minimal, peaceful, and incredibly tactile, it’s less a landscape than a feeling: that sweet, suspended moment when the sky turns pink and the world holds its breath. — Cotton Candy Skies 2026 • 31 x 41 (poplar wood Framed) $1,250.00
