Inspired by that otherworldly phenomenon when Saharan dust drifts across the Atlantic, softening the light over the Gulf, the painting is built in whisper-thin washes of pale aqua, seafoam, blush pink, and pearl white, layered to create immense depth and stillness. The lower third grounds the ethereal atmosphere — textured, impasto sands flecked with copper, gold, and bronze leaf, catching the light like sun on wet beach.
